God promises you will hear His voice!

God promises you will hear His voice!

2 Kings 19:14
And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it; and Hezekiah went up to the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord. 15. Then Hezekiah prayed before the Lord,.........20. Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, "Thus says the Lord God of Israel: `That which you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard.'

Here we have an example of the lengths God will go to to speak to us and make sure we hear Him. Hezekiah did the right thing in going to the Lord and taking his problems to Him. For whatever reason though, he didn't think the Lord would speak directly to him, so the Lord spoke to Isaiah and told Isaiah to give Hezekiah His answer.

God still does this today as well. He will often use other people who are more accustomed to
His voice to get an answer to someone who is just not believing that He will speak to them. Or perhaps they have heard His voice but doubt that it was Him and need the confirmation.

One thing is certain though, God prefers to speak to us directly. He wants to deepen His relationship with you and converse with you. That's really what it's all about. That’s what God is telling us from the Old Testament through the New Testament. God already knows what you want, and what you need. He doesn't "need" to hear from you... He WANTS to!

Revelation 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
